Zardozi, an art form with roots tracing back to ancient Persia, flourished in INDIA during 17th century in the city AGRA, spreading to many more cities in INDIA.
The name “Zardozi” itself is derived from the Persian words “Zar” meaning gold and “dozi” meaning sewing.
This intricate embroidery adorned the thrones, crowns, sherwanis, and Jutti footwear of Mughal royalty, a testament to its grandeur and opulence.
